The number one priority of the Ignite Our Future campaign is addressing the salary gap between CC teachers and teachers at local competitor schools. A salary study conducted last year indicates that veteran CC teachers earn less than 70% of their peers at local schools, a gap of nearly $20,000 per year.
In order to appropriately and fairly compensate our wonderful teaching staff as well as attract and retain talented, mission-aligned teachers, it is imperative that we close the salary gap.
A significant portion of the overall campaign goal will address this gap by providing everyone a significant salary jump ahead of the 2024-2025 school year and then competitive jumps for the next few years, with the plan to be within 10-15% of public school salaries by 2027.
